POSITION SUMMARY: The Credit & Collections Supervisor directs and coordinates the activities of the credit and collections department.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION:
STAFF/PUBLIC CONTACT – Requires establishment and maintenance of effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work. Requires effective communication with customers, clients, and coworkers.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES – Requires coordinating or leading others in work activities, work outcomes and results. Direct supervision of employees in the credit and collection department. Meets regularly with direct reports to keep informed and to offer direction.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED – Reports to and works under general supervision of the Director of Finance. Able to work independently without close supervision.
DECISION-MAKING – Requires making decisions that affect other people, the financial resources, and/or the image and reputation of the organization. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Makes decisions and established work priorities on essentially procedure-oriented operations.
ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE (Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year for year basis) – Associate’s degree from a two-year college or technical school, or equivalent; or three to six years in credit and collections management; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE –Customer and Personal Service, Sales and Marketing, Safety and Security, and Computers.
REQUIRED SKILLS – Social, Complex Problem Solving, Technical, Systems, Resource Management, Desktop Computer, Strategic Thinking, Business Maturity.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS – Normal office environment. Occasional light lifting of office equipment, materials and boxes; frequent walking and standing; requires dexterity in use of fingers for the operation of computers and other office equipment.
